Theresa Alma, one of our expert hospital emergency nurses, has eight years of veterinary experience. In addition to providing tender loving care to our injured or ill pet patients, Theresa is one of our “go to” techies when the complicated diagnostic equipment gives us a challenge. Originally hailing from Michigan, Theresa sought the warmer climate and the excitement of relocation right after schooling when she migrated to this area in 1996. Five cats share her home where she and her fiance Brian hone their skills as semi-professional tournament dart players, travelling all over the mid-Atlantic states competing. One to prefer the great outdoors during her time off, Theresa enjoys developing her cactus garden and spending time with her extended family here in Hendersonville.

Colleen was raised in the northeast but moved to Western North Carolina in 2004 looking for warmer weather. A certified veterinary technician who began working in emergency veterinary medicine in 1994, Colleen loves interacting with pets and their owners and finds great pleasure when she can send a pet home that has been in ICU for days. Colleen thrives in the emergency setting where she never knows what might happen next, an environment ripe for her compassion and expertise.
Colleen’s love for animals is evident with three horses, two goats, four pit bulls, two cats, eight chickens, one rooster, and one husband. She and her husband enjoy living on their farm, riding their horses and caring for their fun and furry family.

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, photography, and road trips to fascinating new places. Most of all, Lisa has fun in everything she does, and can't imagine a life without laughter and good friends. Lisa possesses a wicked sense of humor, a fun-loving personality, and her high energy level and good nature keeps us all on top of our game.

Andie was raised in the Cajun heartland of southwestern Louisiana. She and her pooch, Porter, live in a cabin along the Middle Saluda River where winter means heating with her wood stove and summers mean playing in the mountain fresh streams. With a love for food and the way it can bring people together, Andie is often found cooking in the kitchen. She and Porter like hiking, kayaking, and camping.
